You probably don't know this or maybe not for sure, but in ancient times men didn't used to worry so much about their penis sizes. Moreover, a large penis was considered comical and grotesque, and things stayed like that until recent times - just think of the perfect statues from the Renaissance period; who doesn't know Michelangelo's David? Does David have a big penis? No... In fact, most statues representing men have small genitals. It's true that ancient people focused more on getting food and providing for their families than being stressed about their penis sizes.
These days, men are so concerned with their penis size that even the slightest insinuation that they are not so well endowed may throw them into a depression that could aggravate in time. Despite whatever sexologists and surveys say, men always thought of their penis size as an unit of manhood and masculinity. Truth is that most guys think their penises are below average or approaching average and they're not happy with that. You might be surprised, but there are different results to studies, in different years: Alfred Kinsey (famous sexologist) determined in 1948, on a 3500 people batch, that the average penis size when erect is 6.21 inches long and 4.85 inches thick; 1996 Journal of Urology states an average penis size when erect of 5.08 inches; 2006 the International Study of Impotence states that the average penis size is 5.35 inches during erection. If we do an average of these, we come to the conclusion that the average penis size is 5.54 inches (14.07 cm) long while erect.
Also, make sure you measure correctly, because most guys have no idea and this way confusions, stress and psychological scars occur. You must always measure from the pubic bone to the top of the penis. Make sure you press on the pubic bone, especially if you engaged into penis enlargement, so that the results of the growth remain accurate no matter how much weight you lose or gain during that process. Also, it is recommended that you measure your penis while standing, and your penis is parallel to the ground. As for measuring your girth, you will need a fabric ruler or some string to measure it.
